Make College Cheaper "Student debt and parent debt for college is now too dangerous, too unpredictable, and too often a surprise. There are college bargains and college debt traps, but which is which is hidden, and only revealed at the last second, via the financial aid letter.

We're upcycling the financial aid letter -- there are 5.5 million financial aid letters generated every year, but only 1.5 million applicants, which leaves 4 million financial aid letters that end up in the bin - declined and discarded.

We take "financial waste" - 4m financial aid offers that have been declined - and upcycle them into a map of where the financial aid is strong."
