Transcript Request/College Application Process

Transcript Request

Transcript requests are no longer being done via filling out a paper form.

Students from the Class of 2025 can fill out this transcript request form.

Past graduates and former students who need their high school transcript sent to a school, to a non-educational agency (i.e., potential employer) or need a personal copy should use the former student transcript request form.

College Application Process

Seniors should get started with the College Application process as early as possible during their Senior year.  During the Junior year and the summer between the Junior and Senior year, much of the search work should be done.  Senior year should be a time to wrap up visitations and fill out the applications.
You will meet with your counselor to talk about the whole process, including the college search, SAT/ACT, applications, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and more.

By going to the admissions office website of most colleges, you will be able to apply electronically or to print out a hardcopy for submittal through regular mail.

Almost 900 private and public colleges accept the Common Application (Commonapp.org) on an equal basis with their institutional application if they have an institutional application. You complete the Common Application once and submit it electronically. Some institutions require a Supplement which is also available through this location.

Another application type is the Coalition for College Access (coalitionforcollegeaccess.org), which was created in 2016.  The Coalition allows students to begin working on the application as early as their freshman year in high school.

Students interested in applying to HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) can fill out the Common Black College Application (commonblackcollegeapp.com). It costs only $20 to apply to all 66 member institutions.
