The two (2) forms that students need to be aware of are the FAFSA and the CSS Profile forms:
1) FAFSA: This is the home site for all your needs concerning the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance form (FAFSA). This is where you can apply online during senior year for state, federal and college need-based aid, all on one form. The required college codes are also listed here.
2) CSS Profile: Online application used by many colleges, universities, and scholarship programs to determine eligibility for institutional financial aid, which is aid provided by the school itself, rather than the federal government. It's administered by the College Board and requires students to provide detailed financial information about their family's situation. Some private colleges request the CSS Profile form. - College Board Online: Has several financial aid calculators and access to FUND FINDER (The College Boards Database of more than 3,000 sources of scholarships, internships, contests, etc.).
- FAFSA4Caster: This is a very useful tool for families who are not yet ready to file the FAFSA but want to know what their eligibility might be. It will also prepopulate the answers once a family is ready to file the real FAFSA.
- FinAid: The Financial Aid Information Page-This is the best overall resource for student financial aid information on the web. Sponsored by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, it includes a comprehensive alphabetical index of all financial aid resources on the Web.
- Interactive Student Loan Game Plan: Information from the HESAA about student loans.
- Mass Educational Financing Authority: Helping you plan, save and pay for college.

NJ STARS | Rowan College: The New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS) is a program created by the State of New Jersey to provide high-achieving students easier access to higher education.

Sallie Mae: Offers private student loans, which are not government-sponsored or guaranteed and does not require a FAFSA. These loans help students finance their education by covering the gap between available financial aid and the cost of college.

Student Loan Guide: Information provided by HESAA (Higher Education Assistance Authority) to aide students and parents/guardians to assist in decisions related to their high education plans.
- Study in Canada: Obtain a bachelor's degree in Canada. The degree is portable, highly respected, and a lot less expensive. Institutions such as McGill, the University of Toronto, etc. are world respected.
- Tax Benefits for Higher Education: This links you to IRS Publication 970 "Tax Benefits for High Education". It might help your family with college expenses through either education tax credits or through a tax deduction for tuition and fees. The document is a PDF and about 70 pages long. It is updated for each tax year. You will need the Free Acrobat Reader.
- The Department of Higher Education: Provides additional information about financial aid.
- The Education Resources Institute: Educates borrowers on how to make their loans manageable so they can get the most out of their college education and live their best lives.
- The Office of Student Assistance: Maintained by the State of NJ- This site links to the office of Student Assistance. Users can research financial aid programs sponsored by the state of NJ.
