LTC Ronald M. Tuczak enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1983 serving as a Military Policeman in assignments that included Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, Grenada and South Korea. In August 1987, then SSG Tuczak received a Green-To-Gold ROTC scholarship entering San Diego State University where in May 1990 he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration while receiving his commission as a Second Lieutenant. Upon returning to Active Duty, he was assigned to United States Army South in the Republic of Panama where he served as a Military Police platoon leader during Operation Promote Liberty and as Assistant Battalion S-3 in the 92d Military Police Battalion. While in Panama he also served as Aide-de-camp to the Deputy Commanding General. Following completion of the Infantry Officer Advance Course (IOAC) and the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC) in 1996, he was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, NC as Commander, Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha 733 and as the Headquarters and Support Company Commander. During this time he deployed extensively throughout Colombia and Ecuador conducting Counterdrug operations in support of United States Special Operations Command South. From 2000 to 2003 he was assigned to U.S. Total Army Personnel Command, Alexandria, Virginia as the Special Forces Majors Assignment Officer and Executive Officer to the Director of the Officer Personnel Management Directorate. In July 2004, after completing the School for Advanced Warfighting (SAW) program at the Marine Corps University, Quantico, Virginia, he assumed command of the Group Support Company, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), FT Bragg, North Carolina, and subsequently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where his separate company received the Meritorious Unit Citation Award. Upon returning from combat, he served as the Executive Officer for 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). LTC Tuczak most recently served as the Special Operations Forces Colonels Human Resource Manager within the Senior Leader Development Office, Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army. LTC Tuczak commanded the Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion Naval Air Engineer Station Lakehurst, responsible for all Active and Reserve Army recruiting in New Jersey and greater Philadelphia. Prior to arriving at Lenape LTC Tuczak served as the Senior Army Instructor for Pleasantville High School for over 2 years. His awards, decorations, and qualifications include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Special Forces and Ranger Tabs, Master Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. LTC Tuczak has a Masters Degree in Military Operational Art and Science and has two children – son Logan (24) and daughter Sasha (20). LTC Tuczak currently serves as the Senior Army Instructor for JROTC at Lenape High School Army JROTC since July 2016.
