Electronics Technology
Electronics Technology I
Basic course in a series of two electronics courses. It covers basic principles, ohm’s law, electrical devices, home electronics, instruments, and test equipment. Experiments and practical projects are included. Computer software will be used to simulate circuits for testing.
Electronics Technology II
Advanced course in a series of two electronics courses. It covers the basic principals of DC electrical circuits and an introduction of AC theory. Other studies will include electron theory, current, voltage, resistance, Ohm's law, capacitance, inductance, transformers, and meter operation. Students will apply theoretical knowledge in competing experiments and electronic projects where circuits are built. Computer software will be used to simulate electronic circuits for testing. It is recommended that students have completed Algebra 1. Prerequisite: Electronics I.
